Introduction

The School of Business Administration at the University of Prince Edward Island with funding support of the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency is pleased to offer the Right on Island program. We are committed to working with the Department of Education, Holland College and the business community of PEI to enhance the program and ensure the young people are aware of entrepreneur and career opportunities on PEI.

Right on Island is a source for information on today's career planning. ROI features business profiles and young Islanders telling their career story. To date we have compiled information on twenty-three successful businesses. These sectors offer a rich range of new career and entrepreneurial opportunities outside of the traditional industries on PEI.

Many of these businesses export or sell their products off Island. This is important as exporting goods and services to consumers in other regions creates wealth for Islanders. Producing goods on the Island to sell to customers in other areas means businesses have to hire more employees. We have a strong work force on PEI and a great quality of life. We take pride in our work and our products can compete globally. Remember to look at the world's population as potential clients for your products and services.
